An addiction is any compulsive behavior repeated over and over again that makes one feel guilt, shame, or disappointment.
Having an addictive personality does not make you bad, flawed, or somehow inherently wrong. Most people have an addiction to something these days. Addictive behavior can be a response of the lower or primal brain. The lower brain or addictive brain can be triggered by fear. When fear is present, we tend to turn to those habits or addictions that either comforts us, numb us or somehow make us feel safe.
Kundalini yoga strengthens the body and raises our vibration. Kundalini yoga meditation rewires the brain, so it becomes easier to choose healthy habits over harmful ones.
Beginning Saturday, January 2nd this class meets at 8:00 a.m. every week over Zoom. We will practice an hour of Kundalini yoga, followed by a specific meditation to break the chains of addiction. After the yoga and meditation, I will offer a "recovery talk" for a few minutes, followed by sharing (if you choose) and space holding for the group. You can leave after the yoga if you desire.
